By: Richard L. Smith

Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region are waking up to brisk winds and cooler temperatures as another blustery day sets in.

According to the National Weather Service, winds are gusting up to 30 miles per hour this morning, making it feel colder than the actual air temperature.

Despite the chill, today is expected to remain dry, offering a break from recent rainy conditions.

Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 53 degrees. Winds from the west will remain steady at 14 to 20 mph, with occasional gusts reaching up to 38 mph, contributing to the wind-chill factor.

Tonight, conditions will clear, and temperatures will dip to a low around 38 degrees under mostly clear skies.

Residents are advised to dress in layers and brace for the gusty breeze throughout the day. Stay warm and enjoy your Thursday, New Jersey!
