West Orange Police are investigating an incident that left a police officer and a pedestrian injured after they were struck by a school bus Monday afternoon.

At approximately 4:04 p.m. on October 5, a West Orange Township Public Schools bus struck a West Orange Police officer and a female pedestrian at the intersection of Main Street and Harrison Avenue.
The officer suffered a leg injury and was transported to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for treatment.
The female pedestrian sustained multiple injuries and was also transported to Saint Barnabas by paramedics.
Officials said the victims’ current conditions were not immediately available, but their injuries did not initially appear to be life-threatening.
Authorities said there is no threat to the public.
The incident remains under investigation, and additional information will be released as warranted.
