West New York Man Charged with Explicitly Assaulting 4-Year-Old Boy

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced that on Tuesday, June 28, Antonio Yat Pop, 24, of West New York, was arrested on charges relating to the explicit assault of a 4-year-old boy and an explicit crime on a 7-year-old boy. 

The victims are known to Yat Pop, and two additional children were present at the time of the crimes.

According to Prosecutor Suarez, Yat Pop is charged with Aggravated Explicit Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. 

Prosecutor Suarez said that he was arrested at the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office in Jersey City and remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. 

The crimes occurred on Tuesday, June 28, inside a West New York residence.

Prosecutor Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest.

The above charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
