West New York Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Minor for Two Years

Hudson County authorities announced that on Tuesday, January 31, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Noe Ventura-Amaya, 20, of West New York, for committing sex crimes on a female minor.

According to officials, the crimes occurred on multiple dates in 2021 and 2022, while the victim was between 12 and 14.

Authorities say the defendant and victim are known to one another. Ventura-Amaya is charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault, a crime of the first degree; Sexual Assault by Contact, a crime of the second degree; Sexual Assault, a crime of the third degree; Criminal Sexual Contact, a crime of the fourth degree; Aggravated Assault, a crime of the third degree; Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a crime of the third degree.  

According to the Police, he was arrested at his residence in West New York and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.

The State has filed a Detention Motion, which is tentatively scheduled for Monday, February 6.
