Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Sunday afternoon in West Milford.
According to information released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and West Milford Police Chief Shannon Sommerville, officers were called to Morestown Road at around 12:30 p.m. on October 5, 2025, for reports of a serious motor vehicle collision.
Investigators said a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 collided with a 2020 Triumph motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 78-year-old man from Wayne, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Mercedes, identified as an 18-year-old woman from West Milford, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Officials noted that the investigation is still active.
