Wellpoint New Jersey will host a “Read Across New Jersey” event on Thursday, April 30, at Roosevelt Elementary School, bringing together students, athletes, and community leaders to promote literacy and youth engagement.
The event, scheduled from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., is part of Wellpoint’s 2026 partnership with the New York Cosmos, whose members will attend and provide each student with a goodie bag.
Students will also hear from local government leaders, representatives from the Sussex County Miners, and celebrity guest reader Latif Rivers of the Harlem Globetrotters.
Organizers say the initiative is part of a broader effort to address literacy challenges across New Jersey while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for young students.
