PATH riders should prepare for several upcoming weekend service interruptions between Harrison and Journal Square stations, as work crews undertake the demolition of a Conrail freight bridge, according to a statement released by PATH officials.

Starting the weekend of September 13, 2025, train service will be suspended in both directions between Harrison and Journal Square on six designated weekends to safely complete the bridge removal project.
The affected weekends are:
• September 13–14, 20–21
• October 4–5, 11–12*, 25–26
• November 1–2*
The suspension will begin at 11:59 PM each Friday and continue through 5:00 AM Monday. During these times, PATH will operate:
• Newark Penn to Harrison service
• Journal Square to World Trade Center line
• Journal Square to 33rd Street via Hoboken line
To support riders, PATH will provide free shuttle bus service between Harrison and Journal Square, and between Newark Penn Station and Journal Square throughout the affected weekends.
Note: On the weekends of October 11–12 and November 1–2, service will suspend starting at 2:30 AM Saturday.
Weekday service will remain unaffected.

Passengers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and check PATH alerts for updates during the project.
