Family Connections NJ4S Essex will host a free community webinar designed to help parents better understand the dramatic neurological and emotional changes their children experience during adolescence.

The online event, Inside the Teenage Brain: What Every Parent Should Know, will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. and will feature guest speakers Cori Hammond and Linda Richter.
Organizers said the session will offer insight into why teenagers may suddenly seem unfamiliar to their parents.
The discussion will explore how adolescence impacts brain development, behavior, and emotional responses.
“This is an opportunity for parents to gain practical knowledge and perspective on what their teens are going through,” organizers shared.
“The teenage years bring not only social and emotional shifts but also significant neurological growth.”

The program is part of NJ4S Essex’s monthly webinar series and is being offered in partnership with Partnership to End Addiction.
