Wayne Man Admits to Possessing Explicit Images of Minors

A Passaic County man admitted possessing multiple images and videos of child sexual abuse, Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig announced today.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Honig, Robert Klemt, 34, of Wayne, pleaded guilty on September 14 to an information charging him with one count of possession of explicit images of minors.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court:

In June 2020, agents with the Department of Homeland Security – Homeland Security Investigations approached Klemt at his residence after receiving information that Klemt had accessed a website containing explicit images of minors. 

Law enforcement subsequently discovered over 70 images and videos depicting explicit images of minors on Klemt’s laptop computer.

Klemt was previously convicted of endangering the welfare of a child and distributing explicit images of minors in Essex County in 2014.
