Wayne Crash Seriously Injures 83-Year-Old Wanaque Man

A two-vehicle crash sent an 83-year-old man to the hospital suffering serious injuries, authorities announced today.

According to authorities, Wednesday at approximately 1:35 p.m. police responded to the intersection of Terhune Drive and Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne for a report of a two vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, police determined that a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by an 83-year-old Wanaque man was involved in a collision with a 2012 Honda Odyssey driven by a 47-year-old man from Butler.

The driver of the Toyota suffered serious injuries while the driver of the Honda was unharmed. Two of the Honda’s passengers suffered minor injuries, according to police.

All of the injured parties were transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
