According to information released by the company, the recall affects 16-ounce pints of the following beverages produced by the Wawa Beverage Company:
• Wawa Iced Tea Lemon
• Wawa Iced Tea Diet Lemon
• Wawa Diet Lemonade
• Wawa Fruit Punch
The impacted products were distributed to a limited number of Wawa stores across Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia.
Officials said the affected beverages have already been removed from store shelves and properly disposed of at impacted locations.
No other Wawa-branded beverages are included in the recall, and stores in other states are not affected.
Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk are advised not to consume the products, as they could face a serious or potentially life-threatening allergic reaction.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
Wawa stated that its primary concern remains the health and safety of its customers and associates, and the company initiated the recall out of an abundance of caution.
