Water Main Break Floods New Brunswick Apartment Complex

Utility crews are on the scene repairing a water main break that flooded an apartment complex in New Brunswick early this morning.

Emergency responder were called to the Westminster Residence a 60 unit apartment complex located at 76 Louis Street shortly before 3 a.m. after receiving reports of a water main break at that location.

Upon arrival, crews observed residents outside the complex after a water main reportedly broke on the upper floors of the building causing water to flood out several apartments below.

There were no injuries reported, but many of the residents complained of significant personal losses due to water damaging several items in their apartments.

The incident is under investigation.
