Newark

Utility crews were called to a section of Broad Street to repair a water main that broke early Thursday morning, causing flooding in the neighborhood.

Offcials said the 10" main broke in the vicinity of 241 Broad Street Street just before 4:20 a.m.

According to officials, flooding only covered one side of the street, but water began to enter the basements of some homes on the block.
