Warrant Issued for Queens Man Wanted for Aggravated Assault in Newark

Newark Police report that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Victor Perez, 27, of Queens, in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Monday, September 7.

According to police, at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Ivy Street on a call of an injured person.

Officers located an unconscious man who had been struck following a quarrel with another man during a party. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Perez as a suspect in this incident and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of aggravated assault.

While police are actively searching for Perez, they seek the public’s help in quickly locating him as part of this investigation.
