Warrant Issued for Newark Store Robbery Suspect

Newark Police have issued a warrant for Orlando Arnold, 27, of Newark, who is wanted for a North Ward robbery that occurred on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

According to authorities, at approximately 4:25 p.m., officers responded to Orquidia Deli Grocery & Store, located at 690 N. 6th Street, on a robbery call.

Police said a male suspect entered the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint of cash and cigarettes.

Detectives have developed evidence that Orlando Arnold is a suspect in this robbery.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

These are mere allegations lodged against Mr. Arnold. He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
