Warrant Issued for Man Wanted for Eluding in Newark

Authorities in Newark reported that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Tahrell Hubbard, 31, in connection with an eluding incident that occurred on Friday, December 29, 2023.AdNewark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 8:30 a.m., police observed a 2016, 4-door, black Jeep parked in the 800 block of Sanford Avenue and conducted a random plate check.

Officials say the plate check information produced a suspended vehicle registration.

Officers advised Hubbard that his vehicle would be towed due to suspended registration officials stated.

Authorities say the suspect then started the vehicle and fled the scene.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Tahrell Hubbard as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of eluding, officials said.

According to officials, Hubbard is described as 6'3" tall and 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
