Good morning and happy Friday, New Jersey!
We are waking up to a warm and humid morning as we close out the workweek in Newark and across the North Jersey region.

It is 75 degrees in downtown Newark early this morning, and you can certainly feel the humidity in the air. The good news is that the muggy conditions won’t stick around all day.
As Friday progresses, humidity levels are expected to drop, with a cooler northerly breeze helping usher us out of a busy weather week and into what should be a pleasant start to the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will be mostly sunny today with a high near 82 degrees. North winds will remain around 5 to 8 mph.
With sunshine, temperatures in the lower 80s and improving humidity levels, Friday could also provide another opportunity to head to the Jersey Shore and enjoy a beach day as the final days of summer quickly wind down.
Tonight, temperatures will take a noticeable dip. Expect partly cloudy skies with a low around 59 degrees and north winds of 8 to 10 mph, providing a much cooler feel heading into Saturday morning.
So get through this Friday, Jersey, and get ready to enjoy the first half of the weekend.
Have a great Friday and an excellent weekend, New Jersey!
