New Brunswick police are continuing to investigate an overnight stabbing that sent a male to the hospital suffering severe injuries.
It happened in the vicinity of Somerset and Plum streets where police received calls reporting an injured person at that location.
Units arrived at the scene and found a male victim suffering stab wounds to the back according to reports.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where doctors treated the man's injuries reports said.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
