Violent Attack Near East Orange Middle School Leaves Two Girls Injured

School officials in East Orange and local police are currently investigating a violent attack that occurred near Patrick F. Healy Middle School on Wednesday afternoon, leaving two girls injured.AdAccording to reports from the parents of the girls involved, the incident took place shortly after school dismissal in the 90's block of Hamilton Street.

Witnesses told RLS Media that as the two students were walking a few blocks away from the school on Park Avenue, they were approached by a group of over a half dozen teenagers who initiated the attack.

The assailants reportedly forced the girls to the ground, proceeded to physically assault them by punching and kicking, and even stole items from them before fleeing the scene.

Both victims were promptly transported to Carewell Health Medical Center (East Orange General) for treatment.AdMedical personnel attended to their injuries, with one of the victims being treated and released while the other remained hospitalized for further observation.

The incident, partially captured on neighborhood surveillance video, is currently under investigation by authorities.

Despite the severity of the attack, both girls are expected to make a full recovery.
