Vineland Woman Charged with Bennigan's Restaurant Stabbing

Police announced the arrest of a Vineland woman accused of stabbing another woman in the neck during a fight at a Bennigan's restaurant Saturday.

According to authorities, on November 17th, at 12:06 a.m., officers responded to 2196 W. Landis Ave. (Bennigan’s Restaurant) for a fight between two female patrons.

Upon arrival, officers discovered that one of the females was stabbed twice in the neck area. The victim was transported to Inspira and then flown to Cooper University Medical Center where she was listed in stable condition.

Officials say the suspect, later identified as 27-year-old Yolanda Dasilva, remained at the scene and was subsequently arrested by police.

Police charged Dasilva with aggravated assault, possession of a knife for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a knife.

According to authorities, Dasilva was held in The Cumberland County Jail pending further court action.

No other patrons of the establishment were injured during the confrontation.
