Vineland Man Arrested for Murder, Weapons Possession in Millville

Millville Police Department announced that on Saturday, October 23, the Criminal Investigations Division and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the shooting death of Patrick Trotter, 32, Penns Grove, in the 500 block of West Main Street in the City of Millville.

As a result of the investigation, charges were filed against Brandon Dennis, 29 of Vineland, for Murder, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Aggravated Assault, Certain Persons, Criminal Mischief, Burglary, Desecration and Terroristic Threats, Obstruction and Hindering Apprehension.

Members of law enforcement, assigned to the United States Marshall’s Service / New Jersey State Police Fugitive Task Force, engaged in efforts to locate and arrest Mr. Dennis. 

According to police officials, on Friday, November 12, Brandon Dennis was located in Bridgeton and taken into custody by the USMS/NJSP Task Force, with the assistance of detectives from the Millville Police Department and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office. 

Officials stated that Mr. Dennis was subsequently turned over to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, where he was then lodged in Cumberland County Jail pending court procedures.
