Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspects in connection with a theft from a vehicle that occurred on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé stated that a victim reported that the front driver’s side tire and back driver's side tire were stolen from a red 4-door 2021 Honda CR-V parked overnight in the 700 block of South 16th Street.
According to officials, detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage of the suspects removing the tires at approximately 2:26 a.m.
Suspect 1 is described as a heavyset male, wearing all-black, officials said.
Officials say suspect 2 is described as having a slim build and also wearing all-black but with light blue jeans.
Authorities say suspect 2 was operating the vehicle the suspects arrived in, a dark-colored BMW SUV.
