A garbage truck that crashed then overturned on Route 280 in Harrison had police on the scene Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency responders rushed to the eastbound lanes of the highway (in Harrison) at around 1 p.m. where crews arrived to find the garbage truck overturned with the driver out of the vehicle.
The NJ Transit Morris Essex train line was suspended for a short time after crews checked to see if contents from inside the truck spilled onto the tracks that's located below the highway according to reports.
The crashed snarled eastbound traffic on the highway for several hours but did not affect rush hour traffic cording to authorities.
There were minor injuries reported.
