Newark Police officials request the public’s help with identifying a suspect who attempted to rob a convenience store at gunpoint on July 19, 2023.
Police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. at Goldmax Trading Company, located in the 900 block of 18th Avenue.
The suspect entered the store and pointed a gun at the victim, who would not comply with his demand to get on the ground.
Police said the victim got into a scuffle with the suspect, who left without taking any items.

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
