Police are investigating an assault that left a man hospitalized in Hoboken overnight.
Reports of an assault in progress sent police to the area of Hudson Street and Newark Street at around 1:30 a.m. where arriving officers found a male victim unconscious after being punch at that location.
EMS were called to the scene where they arrived and were able to assist the victim regain consciousness, then transported him to Hackensack University Hospital for evaluations.
Police are looking for a Hispanic male last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans who was observed leaving the area after the assault.
The victim's injuries were not considered life threatening.
