Victim Identified in Thursday Night Homicide in Trenton

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Trenton last night, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri reported.

According to police, just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, Trenton police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Clinton Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident.

Police said that responding officers located Ramire Harvey seated in the driver’s seat of a dark-colored Audi sedan that had crashed into two parked cars in the area of North Clinton Avenue and Poplar Street. He was shot and unresponsive, and there were multiple bullet holes in the vehicle.

According to police, Harvey, 25, of Trenton, was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

According to a preliminary investigation, the car was not stolen, as was preliminarily reported at the scene. Although not related to the shooting or crash, a female bystander who suffered a medical episode near the scene was transported to the hospital.
