Police in Newark are on the search for two armed men who attacked a person on a city street then took their vehicle.
According to reports, the incident was reported at around midnight in the 200 block of 12th Avenue where police were called to the scene for a carjacking in progress.
Two black male suspects approached the victim and demanded their red 2013 Kia Optima then began to pistol whip them reports said.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects remain at-large.
