Police in Summit are on the search for suspects who are wanted for a violent attack on a person during an attempted robbery that occurred during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, police notified surrounding municipalities to be on the lookout for several suspects who were occupying a white Jeep Cherokee who attempted to rob a person in the Central Business district.
Police only described the suspects as white or Hispanic males who were armed with a blunt force object during the incident.
According to reports, two suspects approached the victim armed with the object and demanded cash. When the victim attempted to comply, one of the suspects began to attack with the weapon.
The suspects then entered the vehicle that sped away from the scene.
The victim's injuries were not reported as life-threatening.
