Verona Man Indicted in Child Sexual Assault Charges

Newark -- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray announced today that David Siclari, 47, of Verona, was arrested on Saturday, July 25, 2015 after an Essex County Grand Jury returned a 27-count indictment against him, charging him with committing multiple sexual acts on various occasions against a child victim.

The indictment alleges the sexual assaults occurred between December 2008 and August 2014 in both Essex and Cape May Counties. Specifically, Siclari, who worked for the Roseland school district in a non-teaching capacity, is charged with six counts of sexual assault, ten counts of criminal sexual contact, one count of lewdness and 10 counts of Endangering the Welfare a of Child, according to Assistant Prosecutor Kelly Sandler, who handled the case.   

Siclari is currently out of custody on a $125,000 bail.  

The investigation into this case was a joint investigation between the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Verona Police Department.
