Vehicular Homicide Charges Lodged Against Bridgeton Man

MAYS LANDING – On Friday, July 12, 2019, a 24 year-old Bridgeton man was arrested and charged in the 2018 death of 25 year-old Daryl Bowen, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

According to police, Mr. Irving Muse, 24, of Bridgeton, was arrested by Township of Hamilton Police for the 2018 vehicular homicide of Bowen.

Police say on December 20, 2018, Township of Hamilton Police responded to the area of Millville and Wheeling Avenues for a report of a single-car collision.

The front passenger, Bowen, died as a result of the crash. The investigation revealed that the driver, Muse, had been operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Muse is lodged at Atlantic County Justice Facility, pending a detention hearing scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 2019. Assistant Prosecutor Rick McKelvey represents the state in this matter.

These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
