Officers from the Essex County Sheriff's Office recovered a vehicle in Newark that was reported stolen in Union County.

According to a preliminary investigation, Essex County Sheriff's Officers conducting patrol operations in Newark's North Ward came across a 2016 Jeep Cherokee with a reported NJ license plate number "Y19-JXB" near 45 Woodside Place around 3 a.m.

Police believe the unoccupied vehicle was at the address for a period of time after suspects ditched it in the neighborhood.
