Jersey City Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for a car theft that happened this morning in the city.
Police were called to the 100 block of Jewett Avenue to investigate reports of a vehicle theft at around 8 a.m.
Upon their arrival, they were informed that the suspect took a silver 2012 Toyota Highlander with reported NJ license plate numbers "K61-HEN."
The vehicle was last seen fleeing on Bergen Avenue according to officials.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
