Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in locating a vehicle in an attempted carjacking that occurred today.
Police said at approximately 10:10 a.m., a male attempted to carjack another vehicle in the area of N. 8th Street.
The suspect failed in completing the carjacking and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle was reported stolen out of Jersey City on July 29, 2022.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect.
He is described as a light-skinned Black male with a slim build, wearing all black clothing.
