Four people wanted on charges ranging from sexual assault and
Explicit images of minors to robbery and an alleged home invasion have been arrested following a series of fugitive investigations across Atlantic County.
According to a statement released by the U.S. Marshals Service, members of the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force worked alongside the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office and other state and local law enforcement agencies to locate the four fugitives over several days.
Authorities said the arrests began on August 28 when task force members located Brian Nixon in Pleasantville.
Nixon was wanted for failing to appear in court in connection with charges stemming from an alleged stalking, home invasion and burglary.
Later that same day, investigators arrested Oratile Moeng in Egg Harbor City.
According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Moeng was wanted for failure to appear in a case involving possession of explicit images of minors.
On August 31, task force members located Dominick Haynes in Atlantic City. Officials said Haynes was wanted for failing to appear on charges involving sexual assault, sexual conduct with a minor and unlawful possession of a weapon.
The fourth arrest came September 1 when authorities captured Danna Jeffrey-Pope in Atlantic City. Jeffrey-Pope was wanted for failure to appear in connection with a conspiracy to commit robbery charge.
Acting U.S. Marshal for the District of New Jersey Nicholas Ricigliano credited the cooperation between federal authorities and the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office with helping investigators locate the fugitives.
“The successful apprehension of these fugitives highlights the strength of our partnership with the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office,” Ricigliano said in the statement.
Officials said the arrests are part of the U.S. Marshals Service’s continuing effort to locate wanted fugitives through partnerships with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies.
