U.S. Department of Health Joins Morris County Officials for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Please join Morris County Sheriff James M. Gannon, his Hope One team, and representatives of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Monday, October 21st on the Morristown Green for an announcement about National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, in advance of Take-Back day that occurs on Saturday, October 26.

According to Morris County officials, Hope One, launched on April 3, 2017, is an innovative program that provides critical substance use and mental health services to people where they live, in their neighborhoods.

Officials say since its launch, Hope One has logged 9,321 contacts, trained 2,042 people in the use of Narcan to reverse an opioid-induced overdose, assisted 152 people into rehab and recovery programs and helped another 114 people with mental health concerns.

"Please join us for this exciting event and meet Sheriff Gannon, the Hope One team, and representatives of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services," officials said.
