U.S. Airman Charged with Explicit Assault Involving 9-Year-Old Daughter in Jersey City

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced that on Tuesday, February 8, members of the United States Marshals Service Arizona Violent Offender Task Force, in conjunction with the New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested a 30-year-old Jersey City man for explicit assault involving his 9-year-old daughter. 

According to Prosecutor Suarez, at least one of the crimes occurred while the defendant was stationed in Dubai as a member of the U.S. Air Force and involved transmitting explicit images and videos while the daughter was in Jersey City.

Prosecutor Suarez said that the defendant's name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim. 

According to Prosecutor Suarez, he is charged with Aggravated Explicit Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Explicit Assault by Contact and Attempted Aggravated Explicit Assault.

Prosecutor Suarez stated that the victim was between the ages of 8 and 9 at the time the crimes occurred. 

The defendant remains in custody in Arizona while awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
