The Urban League of Essex County is now hiring instructors for its upcoming summer S.T.E.A.M. program, offering competitive hourly pay ranging from $30 to $45.

According to information shared by the organization, the program—branded under its Tech House in, is scheduled to begin on July 6, 2026, and is aimed at engaging middle school students through hands-on learning and real-world applications.
Officials say they are looking for dynamic instructors with practical experience and strong classroom management skills who can inspire and guide students in a variety of subject areas.
Instructional focus includes 3D printing, filmmaking, coding, and math, all designed to introduce young learners to emerging technologies and creative problem-solving.
The opportunity is based in Newark, with classes taking place at the organization’s Littleton Avenue location.
