UPDATED: 85-Year-Old Brooklyn Woman Drowns in Marlboro Pool

Township – According to a statement released by police, the incident happened on Wednesday at approximately 10:05 p.m. when the Marlboro Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the homeowners at 22 Dunn Drive in reference to a possible drowning.

Officials say upon officers arrival, it was discovered that an elderly female was found unresponsive in the home swimming pool.

Family members pulled the victim out of the pool before the police arrived. Marlboro First Aid Squad rushed the woman to Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Police identified the woman as 85-year-old Fiana Milman of Brooklyn, NY who was visiting family at the time of the incident.

According to police, the incident is being investigated as an accidental drowning at this time. It is unknown how long the patient was in the pool before the family discovered her.

Detective Edward Ungrady and Ptlm. Anthony Morgante of the Marlboro Township Police Department are the investigating officers.
