UPDATE: Wrong-Way Driver Killed After Crashing into Tractor Trailer on I-80 in Morris County

NJ State Police officials are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a person on a highway in Morris County Saturday morning. 

According to State Police, Troopers responded to a crash at 4:00 a.m. on Interstate 80 near milepost 46.2, Parsippany. 

 Officials said, based on a preliminary investigation, a Toyota Rav 4 was traveling west in the eastbound lanes of I-80 in the area of milepost 46.2.

Police say the Toyota struck an International tractor and semi-trailer traveling east head-on.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the Toyota sustained fatal injuries and the driver of the tractor suffered minor injuries.

Police say the identity of the deceased is being is being withheld pending notification.
