Union County authorities are investigating the motive behind a fatal stabbing in Elizabeth.
Police say at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, August 26th, Elizabeth Police Officers responded to the area of Broadway and Front Street after reports of a fatal stabbing.
Upon their arrival, they located the victim, 37-year-old Lakeisha Brooks of Elizabeth, who was transported to a local area hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead.
