Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting of an unidentified female.
Police say woman’s body was discovered on Krokit Place by a motorist at approximately 8:55 am today, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
Authorities say at this time, they have not identified he woman.
The investigation is active and ongoing. .
