UPDATE: Wallington, Paterson Men Injured in Shooting

Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 6:19 p.m. on Saturday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of East 27th Street and 17th Avenue on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival to the area, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 20-year-old male Paterson resident and a 22-year-old male Wellington  resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for non- fatal gunshot wounds.

Police say a potential crime scene was located on East 27th Street between Park Avenue and 17th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey.

Based on the initial investigation it is believed shots were fired from a moving vehicle traveling north on East 27th Street from 17th Avenue to Park Avenue.

The investigation remains active and ongoing according to police.
