UPDATE: Vehicle Sought in Paterson Pedestrian Hit-and-Run

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that investigators are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the suspect in a hit and run accident.

Police say on Saturday June 27 at approximately 11:43 p.m, a 39 year old male from Paterson was struck and seriously injured as he was crossing Totowa Avenue in the area of Marion Street in the City of Paterson.

After striking the male, the suspect vehicle fled the scene before the police arrived.

Official say the vehicle in question is seen on surveillance video, and described as a light colored Dodge Caravan, which is missing its passenger side mirror.

Investigators request anyone with knowledge of this accident, or the vehicle depicted in the surveillance video, to please contact the authorities.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
