UPDATE: Two Suspects Wanted for Attack on ShopRite Worker in Newark

Police in Newark request the public’s help with identifying suspects who were captured on surveillance video assaulting a Shoprite employee on October 10.  

Police said the incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when two women placed items in their grocery bag that had not been scanned at the Shoprite, located in the 200 block of Springfield Avenue.  Attack

When the employee confronted both women, they threw a water bottle at her and punched her in the face and head. The suspects returned the items they did not scan and left with the items they purchased.  

According to police, the pair drove away traveling westbound on South Orange Avenue in a Black, older-model Volkswagen Jetta. let
