Two Paterson men were injured in an early morning shooting Sunday, authorities said.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-in-Charge Patrick Murray, officers responded at approximately 2:20 a.m. on May 17 to reports of gunfire in the area of North Main Street and Haledon Avenue in Paterson.
When officers arrived, they located evidence of a shooting at the scene.
A short time later, police learned that two victims — a 36-year-old man and a 25-year-old man, both from Paterson — arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been announced and additional information was not immediately available.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact its tips line at 1-877-370-PCPO.
