UPDATE: Two Males Shot in Passaic

Passaic County Officials announced that at approximately 2:41 p.m. on December 31, 2020, members of the Passaic Police Department were dispatched to the area of Monroe Street and Myrtle Avenue in Passaic, New Jersey on a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, responding officers located a victim, a 21-year-old male Passaic resident.

The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey for non-fatal gunshot wounds. The victim is in critical condition.

Police say a second victim, a 24-year-old male Passaic resident, arrived at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The victim was subsequently transferred to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center. The victim is in stable condition.

Officers located the crime scene in the area of Monroe Street and Myrtle Avenue, Passaic.  The investigation remains active and ongoing.
