UPDATE: Two Confirmed Dead, Three Wounded in Paterson Mass Shooting

Passaic County authorities reported that at approximately 2:39 a.m., Paterson Police responded to the area of Jersey Street and Oliver Street on a report of a shots fired.

Upon their arrival, Prosecutor Valdes said officers located two victims with gunshot wounds, a 26-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both from Paterson.

Prosecutor Valdes said they were transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center where they were subsequently  pronounced deceased.

Two additional victims with gunshot wounds arrived at Saint Joseph’s  University Medical Center for treatment, a 19-year-old male from Paterson and a 24-year-old  male from Paterson.

According to Prosecutor Valdes, a fifth victim, a 19-year-old male from Paterson, arrived at the Hackensack  University Medical Center for treatment of a gunshot wound.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
