UPDATE: Two Confirmed Dead in Jamesburg House Fire

Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christie L. Bevacqua and Chief James J. Craparotta of the Jamesburg Bridge Police Department announced today that two people were found dead following a fire that damaged a home in Jamesburg early this morning.

Officials say the two, whose identities have not been confirmed, were discovered shortly after the fire which occurred on Sheridan Street in Jamesburg at approximately 3:45 am this morning.

The cause of the deaths remains undetermined pending the completion of autopsies by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Firefighters were dispatched to the single-family home to battle the blaze, which caused extensive damage.

No firefighters or police officers were injured.

Among those called to the scene were the Jamesburg Fire Department, the Jamesburg Police Department, the Middlesex County Office of the Fire Marshal, and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
