UPDATE: Two 14-Year-Olds Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 10:40 p.m. on June 11, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Market Street and Madison Street on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located a 14-year-old juvenile who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Police said the victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.

Police said crime scene was subsequently located in the area of Market Street and Madison Street.

While investigating the crime scene, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised a second 14-year-old juvenile arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center via private vehicle for treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
