Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert D. Laurino and Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from Newark, is investigating the fatal shooting of Terrell Malone, 28, of Toms River.
Police say Malone was shot at approximately 11:45 p.m. yesterday then pronounced dead at University Hospital.
According to police the shooting occurred in the vicinity of 56 Parkhurst Street in Newark.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
